DesignerCon 2022 Collection
For 2022, VeVe has partnered with DesignerCon International for a variety of events and drops. Beginning with a June kickoff party at the beautiful 3DRetro campus in Glendale, CA, DesignerCon will have regular drops leading up to DesignerCon UK (September 3–4, 2022) and DesignerCon Anaheim (November 18–20, 2022). Prepare for a huge list of surprises in both digital (and physical!) collectibles all year long!
Installment 2
Installment 2 of the DesignerCon 2022 Collection invites two returning VeVe creators and a DCon fan favorite for her first VeVe drop. S2 teases future physical collectible releases from 3DRetro and DesignerCon, and hints at a more robust collection of work to grace the VeVe platform as the IRL DCon events approach. Featured artists in this collection are returning cameos by Tara McPherson and Sket One with first-time releases of some of their most coveted pieces, as well as a newcomer to the platform, Allison Bamcat, a DCon legend with important releases slated for later this year.
Allison Bamcat
Allison Bamcat is a color-obsessed painter living in Los Angeles. Through her use of texture, expression, and vivid color, she invokes feelings of nostalgia, magic, intensity, and gravity. The creatures, props and plants in her paintings serve as guides on her personal journey. Bamcat works in Acryla gouache for her fine art painting and also creates large-scale murals throughout the US. She has been exhibiting at DesignerCon for many years.

Allison Bamcat — Provider
“Provider” is a digital collectible based on the original painting, created in March 2019. The original painting is 18×24”, painted on wood in acryla gouache, a silky, matte, vibrant paint that she’s used exclusively since 2008. This painting is a love letter to her mother, a badass single mom who raised Bamcat and her sister in sunny California. A cat-bird creature protects her nest of Easter eggs: her precious babies. This piece is a timeless ode to motherhood with a twist, showing a vigilant, sharp-eyed griffin who isn’t afraid to use her claws.

Allison Bamcat — Fissure Demon
“Fissure Demon” is a digital collectible based on the original acryla gouache painting created in January 2018. This was the first painting the artist ever tried to duplicate in spray paint on a wall, and the wall came out horrible; she’s grateful the original painting exists in this format. The painting celebrates her move back to LA after a 15-year hiatus, returning to her desert roots. The character embodies the trouble she got into upon her return, painting in back alleys while steering her art career into the success she has since found.
