Vintage/Main Cover
This is the very first cover of the Back to the Klondike comic story. Published in 1953 with the comic, this cover illustration was created by Carl Barks in 1952. The image shows all the main characters of the story: Uncle Scrooge, Donald Duck, Huey, Dewey and Louie, Glittering Goldie and the bear, Blackjack.
Fire Variant
This illustration, created by Italian artist Marco Rota, was published for the first time in Italy in 1999 as cover of Hearts of the Yukon comic story. The image shows Glittering Goldie and Uncle Scrooge surrounded by a fire. In the lower part of the image, colored in light blue, Donald drives a sled.
Adventure Variant
This illustration, created by Italian artist Marco Rota, was published for the first time in Italy in 1996 as cover of The King of the Klondike comic story. In this image, Uncle Scrooge climbs a snowy mountain pointing to the peak. On the top of the image, Glittering Goldie stares at Scrooge with a romantic glare while Soapy Slick holds a parchment.
Romantic Variant
This is one of the latest illustrations created, showing the love between Uncle Scrooge and Glittering Goldie. Published in Italy in 2022 as a cover, it was created by Andrea Freccero and Andrea Cagol and refers to an Italian comic story named Sipario. The picture shows Goldie and Mr. McDuck gazing dreamily at the readers.
Heart Variant
This illustration, created by Italian artist Marco Rota, was published for the first time in Italy in 2004 as the cover of The Dream of a LifeTime! comic story. The image shows Scrooge and Goldie together inside a heart, holding their hands in love. This illustration also displays Scrooge through the ages running from a Beagle Boy!
